I must say.....I have taken my 3 German Cars to almost every dealer and then after warranty to 3rd Party Vendors- Star Motors is the best energy. Staff changes occur, since I first came to the shop, it has changed employees, but the owner is the reason I come back. I was in my twenties and tired of being taken for by various places, and the Owner was honest, and aware as to what I needed and could wait on ( being honest and not ripping me off) He said Hello and checked in on me when they changed their location recently. I've had my Jag serviced at Star a number of times. When the car had an issue they were quick to diagnose and fix the problem and always kept me informed. Additionally, their charges are reasonable compared to other shops.

I like the option of getting a rental car for $25.00 which is taken off the final bill if u use this service. Mark, thank you so much in helping me find your location after google maps failed to! Been coming to Star Motors for many years and still make the trip after a recent move from Dana Point to Huntington Beach. Most recently, I brought in my dad's 2010 Buick Lacrosse for it's 40k mile check up. Turns out it needed some work. Dad reviewed the suggestions and the invoice. My mom was stranded on the side of the road after all of the power went out in my 2003 Toyota Tundra. She called the people she trusts-Star Motors. Not only did Star Motors detect the problem immediately and propose a solution, the staff did a detailed inspection that revealed other issues with my first car. Chris, the owner, and Mark the service advisor were amazing. They were honest with my Mom about which repairs were critical so that I would be safe driving the vehicle. We live about 30 miles away from Star Motors but we never go anywhere else. This relationship is built on trust and integrity. That's not easy to come by with a lot of mechanics. Thanks Star Motors for making sure I've got a safe vehicle that will last for a few hundred thousand more miles!

Trust, honesty, dependability and quality...these are the first words that come to mind when I reflect on my experience with Star Motors. Chris presented me with options on how to maximize the results of a very complex automobile repair. He asked me what my goals were regarding the use of my beloved Jeep, about my budget and my timeline. His questions allowed me to analyze the situation from several angles and come to a reasonable conclusion.I was treated with respect and patience while constant communication was facilitated by the Star Motors team, which increased my confidence in the service on my vehicle. In fact, I received two follow up calls from Star Motors after the job was completed. It's the first time anyone in the automotive service industry has called me to make sure I was satisfied!! What a breath of fresh air!I feel safe and secure in my automobile and owe a huge thanks to Star Motors. You count on them for professionalism and customer service above and beyond all expectations.

On a trip to San Diego, the Star Motors, which was visited by a sudden car break on the freeway, was in a word an amazing place.Not only was the car well repaired, but even as the car was being repaired, the boss, Chris, took us directly to the restaurant near the beach to spend time with, and after finishing the repairs, he even brought a car directly to the beach.It was an unforgettable day when I my car was broken and I had to spend a lot of money, but I was presented with more kindness and excellence than that.Thanks Chris and all the staffs!!

The wheel of my car almost fell off on the freeway. I was told Star Motors was the best of the best. After getting towed there they had found out my problem within 10 minutes. I was offered a shuttle service and a rental car discount as solutions, not a common service shop. I’m so grateful for their excellence in taking care of the client as well as the car. They wash your car as a bonus!

I just purchased as Porsche Boxster and I tried to find a place that knows how to work on these cars. I found Star Motors on a Google Search. I called and spoke to Mark. His phone manner was extremely professional and I was at ease within one minute of our conversation! He told me to bring it in for a free diagnostic testing. I had a list of concerns that needed to be addressed. He assured me that everything would be thoroughly checked. I brought my car into the shop. It was so clean and Mark's efficiency was amazing! He contacted me later that afternoon with a complete explanation of the issues at hand. Furthermore, I received an e-mail with pictures, video AND narrative!!! Wow!!! I had expected to spend money on this; however, the service provided to me was above and beyond! I will highly recommend Star Motors to my friends and family! Thank you Mark and Diego my Certified Porsche Lead Technician for a fantastic job!!!!

I had a problem with my vehicle, and AAA towed my to Star Motors. They assessed the problem, and had the vehicle repaired in a timely manner. Their shop is immaculate! I took my Mercedes CL600 in to Star Motors to repair a broken lever on the seat that moved the seat forward and backward to allow entry into the back seats. Chris and his staff were very nice and the place was clean. They treated me fairly.

These nitwits charged me hundreds and FAILED to fix my car. I brought in my Jaguar because dash lights were lighting up and the supercharger was intermittent. Star Motors diagnosed the problem as a leak and performed a throttle body repair and a fuel injector cleaning. On my way home from picking up the car, the dash lights lit back up and the supercharger cut out again. I returned to the shop, they cleared the thrown codes and sent me on my way. Then, the dash lights came back on and the supercharger cut out. See a pattern here?After a couple of more trips back to Star, they decided they wanted to charge me HUNDREDS more for a new supercharger intercooler and a software upgrade. I asked them why it suddenly needed new software when nothing else on the car had been changed or upgraded and they couldn’t explain. I pointed out that I had ALREADY replaced the intercooler TWICE in the last 6 months and that something was likely triggering false codes causing the engine lights to go off. They were unable or unwilling to consider this and INSISTED I needed a new intercooler. Now, what are the odds that I had THREE bad intercoolers within 6 months? It defies logic. I was frustrated at their inability to come up with a better plan and regretted not taking my car to the Jag dealer as my local general mechanic had advised. I left in frustration, wallet thinner and car still limping along.Subsequently I discovered that my battery was not up to snuff and needed replacement. Upon replacing the battery, all dash lights turned OFF and the car runs perfectly! A little research reveals that, when a Jag has battery issues, it can cause a cascade of unexplained dashboard warning lights and make the car malfunction. This is common knowledge among mechanics that specialize in high performance vehicles. Well, MOST of them anyway. Star Motors either knew this, or SHOULD HAVE KNOWN.While I cannot prove that their faulty diagnosis and pigheaded refusal to open their minds to other possibilities was at least partially to try and get more money out of me for unnecessary repairs, I also cannot rule it out. Had I continued with them, my total repair cost would have gone from around 600.00 into the thousands! And it wouldn’t have fixed the problem. My faith in Star’s ability to effectively diagnose and repair has gone from a 9 to a 0. I’m glad I saved some money by not having them perform more unneeded work. I can only hope that those reading this also save themselves time, headaches and $.
